About Matt Carlson
Matt Carlson works as an independent audio engineer and producer in both the Boston area and across the country and holds degrees in audio engineering from both Full Sail University in Orlando, FL and Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. Utilizing his skills in a wide variety of environments and venues, Matt has done everything from develop an accessible internet radio station at Perkins School for the Blind, to being a staff engineer at Converse Rubber Tracks, to Front of House for Blue Man Group at the Charles Playhouse.
His experience in this field has allowed him to encounter a very diverse selection of clients. Matt has worked with a number of fantastic engineers and producers including Paul Kolderie, Kurt Ballou, David Minehan, Justin Pizzoferrato, Stephen Croes, Chad Blinman, Aaron Bastinelli, Matt Beaudoin, Benny Grotto, and Chris McLaughlin.
In addition to audio engineering, he also assists in the development of a variety of new technologies as a QA Engineer at iZotope. Having spent the better part of a decade as an Apple Genius, Matt can easily find his way in and out of a computer. Matt can also be found drumming with several local Boston music projects both in and out of the studio.
When Matt isn't doing music, he is usually taking something apart, enjoying the outdoors or taking something apart outdoors.
He currently lives in Providence, RI where he collects Dad-Jokes.
